How the Ads Work
Ads on the site come from Google AdSense. Google chooses which ads appear, often based on the page content and your browsing history. I do not pick individual advertisers, so an ad next to an article is not a recommendation from me.
What Ads Never Change
No advertiser pays to appear in an article, and none gets to review or approve what I write. I do not publish sponsored posts or sell links.
When I mention a product by name, it is because I use it or because it makes a useful example, and I describe its drawbacks as plainly as its strengths. If a free or cheap option works just as well, I say so, even when a pricier product is advertised on the same page.
If Anything Changes
The site has no affiliate links right now. If I ever add them, every affiliate link will be labeled where it appears, and the disclosure will be updated before the first one goes live.
Readers who want to know who stands behind the advice can read the story of my Wisconsin garden and how the site began. Whatever changes on the business side, my advice will keep coming from my garden and my sources, not from whoever buys ad space.
